General Information:
Transcarpathia - as some believe, almost is not Ukraine. Transcarpathian region is separated from the rest of Ukraine's Carpathian mountain range, has joined the Ukraine about 60 years ago, which leaves its mark - everywhere in Transcarpathia nice looking well-built houses and neat yards.

The infrastructure of tourism in Transcarpathia is growing rapidly around the hot springs, ski resorts and a variety of monuments of architecture and nature. Transcarpathia is bordered immediately to the four Eastern European countries: Slovakia, Romania, Poland and Hungary. The population of Transcarpathia often speaks in dialect, hardly reminiscent of the Ukrainian language. For example, in Beregovo, you'll find a long inscription in Ukrainian. Transcarpathian cuisine is replete with a huge variety of dishes, just borrowed from neighboring countries.
Location:
Transcarpathia is situated in the south-western slopes and foothills of the Eastern Carpathians, and also includes Carpathian lowland. Ukrainian Carpathians is a kind of "window to Europe". In the north and east of the region borders with the two other regions of Ukraine - Lviv and Ivano-Frankivsk.
